AMA Summary: BOUNTYKINDS Update and Future Outlook

The start of the next season

First and foremost, the next season is set to begin on September 17, 2024, and will run until January 2025. This season spans approximately four months, crossing into the new year. Initially, only the Map Mode will be available for players, while BOUNTYHALL (PVE) and Arena (PVP) will become available at a later date. The reason for this staggered release is due to the ongoing development of new features and balancing updates for these modes.

Arche GACHA EVENT

Additionally, a special Arche GACHA Event is currently running from September 11 to September 25. During this period, the new character Beelzebub will have an increased drop rate. Players participating in the gacha during this period will have a higher chance of obtaining Beelzebub, while other uncommon characters like Ignis will be temporarily unavailable.

Changes in each game mode

Regarding Map Mode, several key changes have been made. Unimplemented spaces on the map have been hidden, ensuring that all remaining spaces offer some form of event or effect. This adjustment enhances the overall experience by reducing empty spots and creating a more engaging progression as players move through the map. Additionally, drop items and boss battle rewards have been adjusted, and new items will be introduced in future gameplay, offering players fresh opportunities to utilize strategic gameplay.

In BOUNTYHALL (PVE), the number of stages has been significantly expanded from 200 to 300. The upper-level stages will introduce more challenging enemies, requiring players to use new weapons effectively. Speaking of weapons, new ones will be introduced in the upcoming season. These weapons differ from the previous ones by offering fixed stat boosts rather than percentage-based increases. In addition, weapons with special effects will be introduced, providing more depth to combat strategies. These changes will make the game’s combat system more varied and tactical.

Seasonal Rewards Update

Regarding Season Rewards, players will be pleased to know that, starting from the 4th season, rewards will be announced before the season begins. This allows players to plan their progression around the rewards, rather than discovering them near the end of the season, as was the case in previous seasons. The rewards have been rebalanced to ensure that they benefit not just the top players but a wider range of participants. While the highest-ranked players will still receive luxurious rewards, efforts have been made to balance the overall reward distribution. These rewards will continue to be adjusted each season based on the game’s balance and player feedback.

Other game-related updates

There have also been notable improvements to the staking feature. Previously, players faced issues where staking slots in popular lands would remain unavailable for long periods, preventing others from staking. This problem has been resolved in the upcoming season. When a staking period ends, the slot will automatically open, allowing more players to participate. This new system ensures better access and availability for all players.

Looking ahead, the team teased a major update that will be implemented after the next season. This will introduce a random factor to damage calculation, adding an element of unpredictability to combat. Instead of every attack dealing the same amount of damage, there will be a range of possible damage outputs based on a random multiplier. This could lead to situations where an attack may either one-shot an enemy or require multiple strikes to finish them off, depending on the player’s luck.

Q1: Will the map mode still be a loop of 40 spaces, or will it change in the future?

A1: In the upcoming season, the map mode will remain a loop of 40 spaces, similar to previous seasons. However, there are plans to introduce new features like advanced maps and paths that allow players to jump to higher-tier maps. While these features are still in the planning phase, they will not be implemented immediately in the next season.

Q2: The development for some features seems to take a long time. Is there a reason for this?

A2: Yes, some features require extended development periods due to the complexity of balancing and implementing new systems. Certain functionalities, such as the BOUNTYHALL (PVE) and Arena (PVP) modes, involve significant updates, including new weapons and stages. These updates are not just about adding content, but also ensuring that the game remains balanced and enjoyable for all players.
Additionally, certain features undergo multiple stages of testing to avoid bugs or performance issues, which can extend the timeline. The team is committed to delivering high-quality content, even if it means taking a bit more time to refine and perfect these updates.

Q3: Can you tell us more about the updates to Gacha?

A3: From September 11 to 25, we are hosting an event where the new character Beelzebub has an increased drop rate of 0.2%. During this event, uncommon characters like Ignis will not appear in the gacha. This is a limited-time opportunity for players to obtain Beelzebub with higher odds.

Q4: When will the new weapons NFT be introduced?

A4: The new weapons will be introduced around early October. We’ll release more details on our official social media channels soon, but the new weapons will include fixed stat boosts (rather than percentage-based) and special abilities. These additions will greatly enhance combat strategies.

Q5: Will there be more opportunities to acquire Yellow Character Sphere?

A5: Yes, there will be more ways to obtain Yellow Character Sphere in the future, through Arena rewards, season rewards, and boss battle drops in the map mode. We also plan to increase the chances to acquire it compared to previous seasons.

Q6: Has the issue with staking slots at land development being unavailable been fixed?

A6: Yes, this issue has been addressed for the next season. Once the 1-week staking period ends, the slot will automatically reopen for others to stake. This will make staking much more accessible, especially in popular land areas.

Q7: With the token price dropping, is now a good time to buy?

A7: While we can’t officially advise players on when to buy, we are working on implementing a three-token system called the Trident System. This will significantly alter the token economy, creating new dynamics. We’re also building external revenue streams to support the ecosystem, which should stabilize the token’s value over time.

Q8: Are there any plans for BOUNTYKINDS to attend events like Tokyo Game Show?

A8: We won’t be attending the Tokyo Game Show this year (2024), but we are considering participating in future offline events and Web3-related conventions. We’ll announce any event appearances on our official channels once they are confirmed.

Q9: Can Jail Vouchers be obtained in Map Mode?

A9: At this time, JL Vouchers are not available in the map mode. However, we did run a past event where vouchers could drop, and we may do something similar again in the future. We’re considering adding small drop rates for JL Vouchers in boss battles, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Q10: I want to help promote the game on social media, but I’m worried it might affect my gameplay experience. How can I contribute?

A10: We appreciate any level of contribution, and it doesn’t have to be gameplay-related! Simple posts like screenshots of your game start screen or retweets of official announcements help a lot.
